OpenShift Quickstart

If you are following a workshop you can use the following

NOTE: If using Import from Git in the OpenShift web console you will need to:

1. Open Advanced Git Options
2. Set Context dir to src

# set namespace to your username
NAMESPACE=$(oc whoami)

scripts/bootstrap.sh

You can view the default parameters for bootstrap.sh here. This scripted example shows you some common oc commands you can use to aid in deploying apps quickly.

Local Quickstart

Setup local development

The following section only needs to be run once

python3 -m venv venv

# activate your virtual env with the following
. venv/bin/activate

pip install -r src/requirements.txt

Run app locally

# reactivate your virtual env with the following
. venv/bin/activate

cd src

# python debug
python3 wsgi.py

# gunicorn
gunicorn wsgi:application -b 0.0.0.0:8080
