Having this same problem, I noticed when typing in my master password and hit enter one character is deleted and the whole interface becomes unclickable. Workaround: after typing my password I waited 5 seconds, then hit enter. |
I tested it on my notebook - same version of W11 and Intel graphics and everything works ok there. On my PC it still doesn't work ... I tried turning off GPU acceleration ... sometimes it helps, but after a short time the problem repeats. It behaves unpredictably. |
I'm having somewhat the same problem, i can go into settings where I discover that all my profiles and connections are gone and also my hotkeys, but the config still contains them... When I go into these sections in settings the GUI presents itself mostly empty. So basically the tabby just becomes useless since i can't do anything either. I'm also on Windows 11. |
Please capture DevTools console logs at the time of the issue: https://github.com/Eugeny/terminus/wiki/Debug-logs so @Eugeny can better figure out what's wrong. Otherwise, there aren't many major changes from the last version, but something must be causing it: v1.0.208...v1.0.209 |
I cannot capture anything consistent yet, I'm just playing around changing the GPU acceleration option and keep syncing my config to local. sometimes it works sometimes it don't when I restart several times... |
I have not been able to discover something thorough. Might be my lack of patience and just doing things to fastly. I have also tested this version on my school computer on Windows 10 with no luck there either. @vecinohk have you discovered something yet? |
I changed the Before this, I noticed that the |
🙏 Can confirm this fixed the issue for me as well. (edit: though tabby does seem to freeze on me after a few mins anyways) On windows |
I can't try it now because I'm traveling, but I don't think it's because of that. My language is Czech and it works perfectly fine on my laptop. It behaves erratically - I originally thought it was the GPU acceleration. But I don't know. |
I'd recommend trying the solution that @VKambulov mentioned when you can.
Though my tabby froze again a few mins later, after a full PC restart, I haven't had any issues. |
Ok I will try later and give feedback. |
@vecinohk, my Russian language also worked perfectly all this time before updating the application. |
My problem with Tabby is on my main PC where I am troubleshooting the problem. I also have Windows 11 with Tabby v1.0.209 on my laptop and even though I have Czech language on there, I have no problem at all and everything works perfectly. I'll definitely try your tip on my PC, but I find it strange that Czech doesn't matter on my laptop. |
Has anyone tried it? https://github.com/Eugeny/tabby/releases/tag/v1.0.210 |
After restarting, my problem recurred. It feels like you have to try to restart the application several times to get it to work. However, after some time of operation it freezes again. Unfortunately, there is no way to try 1.0.210, since the application was installed through Chocolatey. |
It seems to be wroking fine in Windows11 |
If you're a chocolatey user just download the windows zip from the 1.0.210 release and replace the files. Currently it seems to work for me, will update if it appears again. |
It seems the problem is not resolved in the latest 1.0.210 version. As I described above, the problem may temporarily disappear after restarting the program and appear during further work. |
Version 1.0.210 does not really solve this problem. I suggest we give space to the developer to analyze why this is happening. He knows the source code best and knows what has changed. Thanks everyone for your feedback and testing. |
Pretty sure SSH Lag Fix is causing a race condition. |
Has anyone been able to see any errors in the Devtools console when this is happening? I'm still unable to reproduce it on any of my Windows machines. |
@Eugeny It looks like this and nothing new appears in the console because you can't click on anything.
|
I've been using the new version https://github.com/Eugeny/tabby/releases/tag/v1.0.211 since this morning. I have quit and run Tabby several times and the problem has never occurred. What about the others? |
the same. But I try to download the install exe package , re-install the newest version 1.0,211, can solve the problem. |
Do a clean install ... uninstall Tabby + delete everything in the |
I can also confirm that the problem has been resolved in the latest version. |
So it was caused by this commit #9749 . |
Ok, I updated today and saw that my icons are no longer resolving, then discovered all the issues. But still is not clear for me what was the root cause (since is not reproducible for me 😔). |
@microhobby I had to revert your PR as it caused hangups for a significant part of Windows users. I initially suspected it could be crashing the app during start, but it seems to rather be Powershell hanging during icon resolution. |
ok, no problem, you did the right thing. Thanks @Eugeny |
Hi, after updating to the new version v1.0.209 I start Tabby, then enter the password to the vault and the app launches but I can't click on anything - the GUI doesn't respond to anything mouse/keyboard.
When I delete the configuration file everything is ok. So some setting is wrong in my configuration. However my configuration is encrypted, so they can't even edit the file.
I can't even do a DevTools console logs capture because nothing responds. :(
Windows 11 [version 10.0.22631.3880]
I had to go back to the previous version Alpha 208.
Anyone have the same problem? Any tips?
