Issue found around PR #39454

Action Performed:

  1. Go to staging.new.expensify.com
  2. Go to chat
  3. Send a message
  4. Send a reply to the message in thread
  5. Click on the header subtitle
  6. Send a message
  7. Note that user can send a message
  8. Swipe right twice to return to the main chat but without highlight on the parent message
  9. Send a message

Expected Result:

User should be able to send a message

Actual Result:

User is unable to send a message

@marcaaron FYI I haven't added the External label as I wasn't 100% sure about this issue. Please take a look and add the label if you agree it's a bug and can be handled by external contributors

QA confirmed they could not repro this bug anymore in staging
