New Mypal browser and Quantum #46
Comments
( @Feodor2 )will you add XUL extension support to it? if not, will you make me install & keep both old Mypal and the new quantum "Mypal"? |
This project is actually being developed by @Feodor2 or is it just your guesses |
Witam.
|
ziemowit1973 trochę się spóźniłeś 😃 ostatnia wersja (dalej nie rozwijana) jest jeszcze
dodatki |
kind of depends. SeaMonkey 2.57a1 (esr60 based) still have some kind of XUL extensions support. |
@gdl-888 I suppose it very hard task. |
Seamonkey 2.49.5 is on par with firefox 52 esr, but there is not many extension to support seamonkey directly. |
Aso Mypal stores a eternal history. |
Hi, does Quantum work with Windows 2000 Extended Kernel by blackwingcat? |
Actual plan here
@Typical0 |
@Feodor2 will this Quantum version support all Firefox addons ? |
@roytam1 so what's your expected roadmap for 2022 ? Serpent Quantum ? |
no roadmap from me, as I don't know how many free time I can have to focus on browser maintenance/developing besides $DAYJOB. |
@roytam1 I rarely update my Serpent 52, maybe 1 or 2 times a year because I don't need to. |
now updates are not frequent (last Serpent52-20220122) |
🤦 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️ 🦝🐍 |
@AroKol78 the grease ball @mattatobin is the only reason of these releases delay. |
thanks for response! i'll test it on win2000 when new mypal releases |
I have uploaded, look first page. |
@Feodor2 Is it possible to take over the stored passwords from MyPal 29.3? |
Thank you very much for releasing the new MyPal 68 Version, it now fully works on my Github Repository Pages again ! |
Passwords can be adopted. |
( @Feodor2 )are you planning to add WebRTC? |
@gdl-888 yes i along with dx9 i do WebRTC too.
logins.json not enough for sure, but i don't remember what else (key4.db???), search the web it is discussed about many times. About multiprocess: Also you can set portable as in the old mypal |
@Feedor2 thanks for your hard work. |
Thus, the search works with Google in the search box, but not in the address field. |
@Feodor2 glad to see you're still alive and posting new version. while I'm still trying to create a diff between firefox-68.12.0esr and mypal68, I'd like to ask how to compile it? is mozilla-build 2.2 from UXP building guidelines still usable for mypal68? or EWDK vs2017 has to be used? and what about rustc? |
@Anbima Install this search engine Google No Country Redirect After that open
|
I have "Google Deutschland" and it does not work. |
I have had a second BSOD because of this Mypal 68 browser when switching tags !! |
I will keep using Serpent 52, 360 chrome v11 (russian repack) and 360 chrome v13 (american repack) |
@Anbima try open |
Works here, thank you.
Please try following the steps in Feodor2/Mypal68#3 (comment) and re-test everything. |
@win98se are you kidding ? no way will I be disabling multi processes function, ever since it was introduced on Firefox I couldn't live without it. |
You must have not read the Mozilla wiki page at all. It is stated clearly that the multi-process feature is totally NOT STABLE on Windows XP, regardless of performance. And this is unrelated to M. A. Tobin and his (now previous) works. |
@win98se I have not read nor will I ever read that shit that you repeat like a parrot in multiple open issues to make everybody think the culprit is Firefox and not the buggy Mypal @Feodor2 Firefox (pre 52 ESR) was quite unstable and used to crash too often long before the multi process function came on the scene. |
@mattatobin I suspect he's from Russia Feodor2/Mypal68#7 (comment) |
@andika207 There is no point having any argument with you because of your ego, and that you are only believing anything you want to believe, also disregarding everything else from everybody, including Mozilla. It's not like I'm the one adding these statements in Mozilla's wiki, right? And I don't even have the power nor influence nor rights to influence anyone, or in your words, “to make everybody think” about e10s' instability on Windows XP. I am just stating facts here. |
@win98se I believe on my personal experience not on a parrot who spread nonsense all over github issues. the problem is that you think everyone so far has been surfing with Mypal 29 without multi process and now the crashes on Mypal 68 are supposedly caused by multi process... your facts are just ridiculous. |
Quantum does not support XUL.
