Newer versions of JTS are published under a new organization, therefore this touches quite a few source files. I don't see any major things that should affect us in the release notes / changelog between versions 1.14 (what we currently have) and 1.16.1. But upgrading now could make upgrades in the future a bit less painful.
This also specifies the required JTS version explicitly in our pom (previously it just came implicitly with another dependency, which is not so great).
