Description:

This pull request addresses issue #808, adding a feature that allows users to download their resume as a PDF file directly from the Resume Preview step of the resume builder. The feature was implemented using the html2pdf JavaScript library to convert the HTML resume into a PDF format.
Changes Implemented:

Download Button:

  • A "Download Resume" button has been added to the final step (Resume Preview) of the resume builder. Users can now click this button to download their generated resume as a PDF.

html2pdf Integration:

  • Integrated the html2pdf library to handle the conversion of the HTML resume preview into a PDF file.
  • The PDF mirrors the HTML preview in terms of design, layout, fonts, and styling.

PDF Generation Process:

  • The resume content, which is dynamically generated based on the user's input and selected template, is captured from the preview area and converted into a PDF.
  • Once the PDF is ready, users are automatically prompted to download the file.

Styling and Responsiveness:

  • Ensured that the downloaded PDF reflects the styling seen in the resume preview, with proper alignment, margins, and padding.
  • The design is responsive and works well across devices, including mobile.

Testing:

  • Tested the PDF download functionality across multiple devices and browsers to ensure consistent behavior.
  • Verified that the PDF accurately reflects the preview design, with no layout issues.
