HD Skins Mod

This is a Minecraft 1.8 mod that will allow you to use a HD skin uploaded to the GawdScape server.

Your skin will be visible to anyone with this mod.

Important: This mod requires OptiFine to also be installed.

Install on GawdScape Launcher:

Simply take the HD-Skins.jar and place in in your mods folder with OptiFine.jar.

• Windows: %AppData\.gawdscape\bin\mods
• Linux: ~/.gawdscape/bin/mods
• Mac OS: ~/Library/Application Support/gawdscape/bin/mods

Install on Official Launcher:

1. Use the Minecraft Launcher to download Minecraft 1.8.
2. Go to your .minecraft/versions folder.

• Windows: %AppData\.minecraft\versions
• Linux: ~/.minecraft/versions
• Mac OS: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/versions

3. Copy the folder 1.8 and paste as 1.8_OptiFine.
4. Open the 1.8_OptiFine folder.
5. Rename 1.8.jar to 1.8_OptiFine.jar.
6. Rename 1.8.json to 1.8_OptiFine.json.
7. Open the file 1.8_OptiFine.json with a text editor and replace "id":"1.8" with "id":"1.8_OptiFine" and save the file.
8. Extract the contents of your 1.8_OptiFine.jar to a new folder called mods.
9. Extract OptiFine.jar to the mods folder.
10. And extract HD-Skins.jar to the mods folder.
11. Finally create a zip archive the contents of the mods folder and name it 1.8_OptiFine.jar.
12. Replace your old 1.8_OptiFine.jar with the new 1.8_OptiFine.jar.
13. Start the launcher.
14. Click "Edit Profile".
15. Select "Use version:" -> "release 1.6.2_OptiFine".
16. Click "Save Profile".
17. Click "Play" and enjoy HD Skins with OptiFine.
