Set up forward search on mac with Skim #3629
-
What is the current correct way to set up the forward search from TeXiFy to Skim on Max? I have selected PDF viewer "Skim", but when I go to Tools > LaTeX, I only see "Configure Inverse Search for Skim" (together with the delete and preview options), but not the Forward Search button. The inverse search works well for me. Should I set up a custom PDF viewer command? The documentation just states that "On MacOS, TeXiFy supports Skim as a pdf viewer with forward and inverse search.", which seems to imply that no extra settings should be needed. |

Could be multiple things. Make sure you have compiled the run configuration at least once. In the past I think we had issues with the system environment variables on Mac, but then you would have noticed when compiling. Though if the forward search button does not show at all, either skim is not selected as pdf viewer in the current run configuration or your cursor is not in a latex file. |
