Updating variable strings in copper layers

Is it currently possible to use set_text_variables to update string variables found in PCB copper layers?

It seems to be working for silkscreen layers, but I was expecting a global scope update for all found variables.

Am I missing something, or is this currently "by design"?

I must have been looking at old gerbers...

set_text_variables does actually update variables in copper layers...

It seems to work locally (when I run from a local docker container), but doesn't seem to work as expected when running on a Gitlab pipeline...

When do the preflight checks run?

I have split my outputs into separate CI jobs:

1. ERC check
2. DRC Check
3. Schematic to PDF
4. Open Board View Output
5. BOM
6. Manufacturing Files (gerber, drill, pick-n-place)

Do the preflight checks run once only, or once per kibot invocation?

Turns out I was using -s to skip previous preflight checks...

Since Manufacturing files were generated last, this was set to -s all 🤦‍♂️

So yes, it was doing exactly what I told it to do...
