Saved Search #90
Comments
@posixeleni when you are back in the office, can we meet to talk about this functionality. |
scheduled a meeting for this Friday for @eaquigley and I to discuss |
Met with @posixeleni and she is going to find an example of a dynamic collection in 3.6 for us to try in 4.0 to see if saved search is critical for 4.0 or if it can be in one of the quick releases after 4.0. |
From the list above I did not get a chance to do these:
I checked the boxes above what what I did do. |
Let's use #1890 to track this. |
Testing on Saved Search and I am unable to save when I try to link it to a Dataverse. It just spins and then does nothing. Tried this in Firefox and Chrome and it doesn not work in both. Also found another tiny browser related UI issue: "Your Dataverses" Dropdown box does not align properly with the field name in Chrome (looks fine in Firefox): Taking this off QA and sending it back to Dev: @mheppler @pdurbin @kcondon do you know who should look into this? |
Sorry @kcondon I am unable to login to do stacktrace. I reported the issue to HMDC support since the password is not letting me login. |
@posixeleni Can you try again? I was not able to reproduce this. |
@kcondon try to reproduce the issue by doing the following: |
Spoke with @kcondon and this feature is working functionally as expected. However there are some issues with the user experience and performance issues with indexing when trying link a larger number of results that will need to be reported as a separate ticket. I am closing this ticket. |

We want users to be able to create queries ("saved search") for data within the system they are interested in, such as:
The idea is that you check these saved searches periodically (or the system checks for you and gives you a notification) to decide if you want to statically link the datasets into one of your dataverses.
