This accomplishes two main things:
1 - sets up the Advanced Search blocks on the main "Solr Search Content" view,
2 - re-implements the Search-Within-This-Collection search view as a block, which serves both as the main collection listing, and as a fully-functional (faceted) search interface.
I'm working on a document to describe the steps needed to recreate it; here is a draft.
