This organization will contain the evapotranspiration remote sensing algorithms developed at NASA Jet Propulsion laboratory for the ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS) and Surface Biology and Geology (SBG) missions. These algorithms are being developed by a NASA Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) project Thermally Sensitive ECOSTRESS Evapotranspiration Model Ensemble Evaluation and Development.
The algorithms under development here include:
- Surface Temperature Initiated Closure (STIC)
- Breathing Earth System Simulator (BESS)
- Priestley Taylor Jet Propulsion Laboratory (PT-JPL)
- Priestley Taylor Jet Propulsion Laboratory Soil Moisture (PT-JPL-SM)
The MOD16 algorithm from VIIRS Collection 2 is also being adapted for use by ECOSTRESS and SBG as well as pyTSEB.
