A browser extension that listens to your gMeets for you. And notifies you if something important is mentioned
- Addon Stores:
- Firefox
- Chrome (coming soon)
- Manual Installation
- Download the latest zip from the releases page
- Unpack the zipped file
- For chrome:
- Go to extensions pages
- Select 'Load unpacked'
- Select the folder that was unzipped. It should contain a manifest.json
- For firefox (only for debugging):
- Go to the debugging page
- Select 'Load temporary Add-on'
- Select the
manifest.json
file in the unzipped folder
- You're all set, Patronus is installed. Head over to Usage
- Enable subtitles (CC)
- In the plugin UI - set the keywords and interval
- Keywords are the words that should be searched for. Case and punctuation are ignored when matching keywords.
- Interval is how often the search will be run (in milliseconds). I've found that 1 second (1000 ms) is very reliable. Values above 10 seconds will often miss words.
- Click the toggle switch to enable Patronus (it won't check for anything unless this is on)
- You'll be notified when one of the keywords is found
