This is a simple blog application built using the Django web framework. In this project, you will learn the basics of Django and how to create a blog with essential functionalities.
To run this application using Docker, make sure you have Docker installed on your machine. Follow these steps:
- Clone the repository:
git clone git@github.com:JoseJulianMosqueraFuli/blog-application.git- Navigate into the cloned directory:
cd blog-application- If you want configure send mail feature, you must be create a .env like .env.example file:
EMAIL_HOST_USER ='your_account@gmail.com'
EMAIL_PASSWORD = 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'NOTE: more information to get the password in link
- Build and run the Docker containers:
docker-compose up --build- The application should now be running. You can access it in your browser at
http://localhost:8000.

- Views, templates, and URLs: Create views to handle user requests, define templates for rendering HTML pages, and map URLs to views.
- Canonical and SEO-friendly URLs: Learn how to create canonical URLs for models and build search engine optimized URLs for blog posts.
- Object pagination: Implement pagination to display a limited number of posts per page and provide navigation to browse through posts.
- Class-based views: Utilize Django's class-based views to simplify the code structure and enhance code reusability.
- Django forms: Implement forms to enable users to recommend posts by email and comment on blog posts.
