DSKY
Requires Realism Overhaul 8.3.0
- Lots of parts placed and priced by mcirish3 (AJ260s, prop engines, various rocket engines, Transtage...).
- Agena avionics balanced.
- Stack goo (bio sample, really) now masses what radial goo does.
- B9 pWings cost fixed.
- Avionics now show a message in flight when you lose (or regain) control.
- Avionics GUI now shows in the VAB/SPH. Can be set to only show if no control (hide if control). ALT-I toggles it back on if you close it.
- Ported the new parts back to RO.
- (Some) avionics parts can now be toggled into "low power" mode, where they behave as if the vessel has too much mass (flight controls locked, right-clicking ok). For those cores, they automatically switch to low-power mode during timewarp.
- Place and price Sputnik 1-3 and R-7 (thanks stratochief66!).
- Fix altitude record bug (was giving records outside the SoI).

Saturn Instrument Unit
REQUIRES Realism Overhaul 8.2.0
NOTE: This release adds avionics requirements. Existing launched craft may not have flight controls enabled (though right-clicking and staging will work).
It is suggested you use the patch pjf posted on our forum thread until you either start a new save or have landed all missions which have insufficient avionics and would be harmed by losing flight controls.
Flight
This release also features the first halting steps towards an alternate start (and midgame) strategy: X-Planes and later spaceplanes. The SXT Beechcraft Bonanza is added, as are jets from AJE, a new cockpit for X-planes, and the aero nodes are rearranged. Finally you can complete that stock altitude contract!
Avionics:
When you have insufficient avionics to control your craft, flight controls (pitch/yaw/roll, throttle, rcs toggle, etc) are locked and SAS is turned off. Various parts give a set allowable mass, and the mass limit is cumulative. Some parts (sounding rocket core, early probes), those with ModuleScienceCore, have zero allowable mass: they don't offer flight controls at all. Make sure you add enough avionics to your vessel for it to be controllable; the amount of allowable mass a given part offers is listed under the module info (in the editor tooltip list of modules). Various cloned parts allow sufficient avionics parts just in RP-0's basic stock/SXT environment, but in addition the various FASA replica parts (Atlas stages, Centaur stages, Titan upper stages, etc) have appropriate avionics added. Note that crewed craft are not exempt from these limitations! If you want to control more than five tons with Mercury or Gemini, you'll need to add avionics, for example.
Tech changes:
- Landing now gets another parent, and a new cost and description
- Hydrolox nodes get non-uniform icons
- Space Exploration (3rd-gen capsules) cost increased from 200 to 300.
- Rework of construction nodes: now that Hydrolox doesn't use them, they represent "materials science" and are needed for various advancements like new spacecraft or engines.
- Rework of aero nodes: the aero subtree now branches off from start (first node is free to unlock!) and allows you to construct x-planes and later (when parts are placed and priced) spaceplanes.
Contracts changes:
- Human Spaceflight contract now actually requires crew. Oops.
Part changes:
- Placed RPWS and dmscope, priced later SCANszt equiprment.
- Added x-ray detection to the US/DMagic environmental wedge.
- FASA Geiger Counter experiment replaced by our X-Ray experiment (for balance).
- Sounding Rocket core and early should-be-uncontrollable probe cores are now right-click-only.
- Added avionics modules: The Able guidance unit (used on Vanguard, Thor-Able, Thor-Delta, Delta, etc), stock equivalents of Agena (a medium upper stage) guidance and Saturn Instrument Unit, added two generic stackmount guidance rings (one good for Atlas-sized rockets, one for R-7/Vostok-sized), and added a small 1m clone for Vanguard.
- Place and price SXT RCS parts.
- Place and price more probe cores (stock and SXT), including Ranger Block I / Mariner, Ranger Block III, Surveyor, and a generic modern satellite bus.
- Configure/place/price SXT 3.75m core as 3.9m early Saturn IU (used on some Saturn I launches).
- Add a conic cockpit for early X-planes (model courtesy carmics in AIES, used with permission by NathanKell, textures courtesy NathanKell's RftC mod).
- Place and price SXT Beechcraft Bonanza.
- Place and price various AJE jet engines.
- XLR11 and XLR99 moved to appropriate plane-related nodes.

What does the 'lox say?
Tech Tree
Hydrolox engines now have their own tech-tree line. It may look empty, but each node unlocks new engine configs (identical to previous RP-0 releases). We're working on making engine configs visible in the tech-tree itself.
If you've researched the old hydrolox nodes, you'll need to unlock the new ones. Existing saves with hydrolox researched will have construction nodes unlocked instead.
Science
- X-Ray experiments now return their full science value on the first transmit.
Updated placement and costs for many parts, including:
- radialDecoupler2
- 6S tubes
- Many FASA parts
- FASA Apollo parts in particular (thanks to @BevoLJ).
- Mini solar panels
- X-405 price lowered in preparation for avionics changes.
- RD-0105/0109 price lowered since there's no further upgrades any more.
- LR-105 added
- Placed and priced RTShortDish2
- Wings, scoops, pylons, fuselages, ladders, lights, and tanks have more consistent costs
- US Hexacores
- Placed reaction wheels and Control Moment Gyros
- Various decouplers, clamps, and doodads.
General bugfxies
- Fixups in Universal Storage parts and costs that were snagged on a bug.
- Launch clamps now have command capability

OTRAG
Note this is a save breaking update. Engine parts have changed roles. You may have to rebuild your craft, and in the case of the AJ10 you will have to do more. Any vessels in flight with an AJ10-early will be removed.
This release brought to you once again with massive help from Agathorn. He's an official contributor now, but he still gets thanked for what he slogged through.
- Add AJ10-104D config (Ablestar engine, restartable).
- Switch to using SXT parts for the X-405 and early AJ10 engines. NOTE: Save-breaking, since the old "AJ10 early" engine no longer exists. Make sure no inflight vessels use that engine; you will have to recreate (or hand-edit) craft files using it. Sorry, but this one just looks soooo good and the old one was a placeholder. Requires SXT v20 for obvious reasons. On the bright side, the new X-405 has roll control from its turbopump exhaust jets! (That's the second "engine" listed in the part info window).
- With all VSR engine changes backported to Realism Overhaul, and with an SXT X-405 engine, the LV-T30 is now once again the LR-105 sustainer.
- S1.5400 / 11D33 configs moved off the RD-0105/RD-0109 (since they are unrelated) and combined with the RD-58 configs (RD-58 is a development of 11D33), which is now on the LV-T45.
- Fix pricing for Redstone/Juno I engine (slightly cheaper in A-6/Redstone variant, more expensive in A-7/Juno variant).
- Cost and place XLR-11 (X-1 and the like) and XLR-99 (X-15) engines.
- Place and price F-1 engine.
- Fix up RL10 configs and pricing.
- Place and price FASA Gemini.
- BevoLJ: Place and price Salyut stations and Soyuz ferries and Skylab (from Raidernick's mods).
- Fix Flight Control node typo.
- Place standard KW fairings in the start node.
- Fix Bell 8xxx configs (Agena engine).
- Add a new part, the Tiny Tim booster (for sounding rockets) from Agathorn.
- Procedural SRB now unlocks with your first solid booster (Castor 1), not before.
- WAC/Aerobee sustainer engine upgrades now cost money.
- We now recommend TestFlight for all your part testing/failure needs.

Project PIlot
- Arbos: update RS-68A node.
- Set costs for B9 Procedural Wings.
- Fix Proc Parts (they are now no longer shown as non-RP-0).
- Hide unsupported VSR engine duplicates.
- Tweak how non-RP0 tagging is shown.
