Manage Rivers
When a member first joins, the system suggests three beginner rivers: unread posts from the forest, posts from my tree, and posts from the forest. If one or more of these default rivers are deleted, they can be restored on the "new river" page. These three rivers can also be edited.
On the "manage rivers" page, members can select a river to be the home river. Clicking the home icon in the header bar will return the member to the selected home river. If no home river is selected, the home icon will return members to the last river visited.
On the home page, click on "manage rivers" next to the river selector, then click on "new river" at the top of the next page. There are tips and examples on how to create an advanced search on this page also. Searches can include hashtags, filter out hashtags, and terms without a hashtag. Special search terms can narrow a search to include only unread posts (:unread) or only posts from a member's tree (:tree). There are plans to add the ability to search for a member by mention and/or by posts from the member.
Any river can be edited. Just click on "manage rivers" and then the edit icon next to the river to be edited. Search terms can be added or deleted. Any river created can also be deleted. Click on the trash can next to the river to be deleted. Deleting a river cannot be reversed, except for the three beginner rivers.
