This is the first official release of synapse. Various bugs have been patched and the client should be fairly stable at this point. Before using this client, please see the wiki page on stability of features to know what to expect.

The current Peer ID is -SY0010-.

Post Release Notes:

• DHT has a bug which causes it to consume unnecessary amounts of CPU sending messages, disabling recommended if possible (remove the bootstrap_node option in the configuration).
• Torrents with duplicate trackers in the announce list will cause occasional crashes and failure to shutdown correctly.
• Torrents mid download should not have their selection algorithm swapped, it will induce a stall and require a client restart to resume.

1.0-rc2

This release features numerous performance and stability updates. A significant amount of testing has been done since the previous release, though more remains to be done. Static binaries are now available for download as well.

Significant changes since the last release include:

• Torrent importing (adding a torrent with minimal validation)
• mmap usage disabled by default
• Removal of c-ares (and implementation of a more sane DNS resolver)
• PEX
