Entropy v1.0.4 LTS (Build 1) Release
Note
This release is designated as the Long-Term Support (LTS) version. It will continue to receive updates for minor and major bug fixes as well as some enhancements.
From now on, two versions of Entropy will be developed:
- Classic: The LTS version, focusing on speed and efficiency with a more minimalistic UI.
- Generic: A version with a more advanced UI and additional features.
I forgot to fix a few bugs in the previous version, but now it's all fixed and you're good to go.
I am excited to announce the release of Entropy v1.0.4 LTS, the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) version of my versatile terminal process manager. This release is designed to provide stability and reliability for users who prioritize a robust and dependable tool for managing system processes.
Key Updates in v1.0.4 LTS
- Stability Improvements: Significant enhancements to ensure stable and reliable performance, due to streamlined UI.
- Bug Fixes: Resolved several critical bugs and minor issues reported in previous versions.
- Code Optimization: Streamlined code for better performance and efficiency.
- Version Handling: Added version handling for better management of this and future releases.
- Minor Fixes: Addressed minor bugs and made adjustments to improve user experience.
LTS Version Highlights
- Long-Term Support: This version will receive updates for critical fixes, security patches, and essential improvements. It is designed for users who require long-term stability without frequent changes.
- Focus on Stability: New features will not be added to the LTS version to maintain a stable and consistent experience. Specifically, features that are RAM-heavy or resource-intensive will not be introduced in this version.
- Versioning: Future updates for this LTS release will be denoted with additional segments (e.g.,
v1.0.4-1 LTS
).
Bug Fixes
- Clear Command: Fixed an issue where the clear command did not clear the console when used with Windows Terminal.
- Code Cleanup: Various minor fixes and code cleanup.
Known Issues
- Color Rendering: Some issues with color display in custom theme terminals (e.g., Windows Terminal) may still persist, but efforts have been made to address them.
Future Updates
- Version 1.2.0 and Beyond: Planned features include advanced functionalities and improved UI elements.
