Quick Start

If you want to play the game for the very first time, get familiar with this article to learn all the important peculiarities.

First, you need to open a new issue.

Here, click "Get started" next to the character you want to play as –– orc or human.

Create new issue

Since the main gameplay centers around the confrontation between two races (Orcs and Humans), you just need to choose a side. Humans have innate +1 DEF whereas orcs have innate +1 ATK. This difference becomes less significant as the game progresses.

So, let's explain how to quickly start playing the game using a human character as an example.

Once you've picked a character, enter its name in the Add a title field, and optionally, write a short description.

New human

Note

You can earn extra stats if your character description gets heart emoji reactions. Feel free to add the first reaction yourself and ask your friends to do the same. Additionally, if you star this repository, you'll gain +1 ATK and +1 DEF.

To see the full list of community perks, check out this article.

Once you've created the character, it'll have the following stats:

  • HP (health points): 100
  • AP (action points): 10
  • DEF (defense): 1 (for the Human race)
  • ATK (attack): 1 (for the Orc race)
  • Level and the other stats: 0

Important

The gameplay consists of creating comments with command actions for your character. The actions are executed daily at 00:00 UTC.

The recommended actions to start with are:

labor mill
fight spider-lair
siege west

Let's comment on each action:

  • labor mill: working on a mill, requires 6 AP.
  • fight spider-lair: fighting with 4 spiders (the easiest fight available), requires 4 AP.
  • siege west: besieging one of the 3 fortresses (the western one). It's a multiplayer battle which takes place at the end of the day, so you'll have time to rest before and recover some HP.

Besieging the fortress is important as it has zero requirements and doesn't affect other actions. Additionally, the battle may grant some EXP, while the fortress holding provides numerous perks.

You can find the detailed description of all the sieging perks in this article.

Thus, once the actions have been executed, your character state will look as follows:

First day stats

In the top block you can find your current character status after all the actions have been executed.

The Logs section shows what happens as the result of the actions.

Alternatively, if you starred the repository, consider fighting goblins fight goblin-camp. This'll give you 9 EXP compared to 7 EXP for fighting spiders. If you want to earn extra EXP instead of Gold, you can fight goblins twice fight goblin-camp 2 instead of laboring.

It's more beneficial to combine labor and fight actions within a day, as this allows you to utilize more AP (but it's completely up to you).

The list of all available actions can be found in this article.

Note

To execute a next-day action, you can either put it in a new comment or edit the existing one.
