Romanov's Vengeange requires files from original Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and its expansion Yuri's Revenge. As Red Alert 2, unlike previous CnC games, is not freeware we cannot provide you these files. If you own the original game discs (currently original Yuri's Revenge disc isn't supported), The First Decade disc or own the game on Origin, the ingame content installer can fetch the files from them. If you have the files in another way, you will need to do a manual content installation.

The following files are required for Romanov's Vengeange to run:

  • ra2.mix
  • ra2md.mix
  • language.mix
  • langmd.mix

These files are not required but are used by Romanov's Vengeange:

  • THEME.MIX
  • thememd.mix
  • taunts folder

You need to copy these files to following locations, depending on your Operating System to complete the installation.

  • On Windows: \Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\OpenRA\Content\ra2
  • On Linux: ~/.config/openra/Content/ra2
  • On MacOS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/OpenRA/Content/ra2

If you have been using OpenRA for a while (i couldn't find which version changed this) on this device you may have your user folder in a different location. If those folders were generated by the old versions, new ones continue to use them.

  • On Windows: \Users\<Username>\My Documents\OpenRA\Content\ra2
  • On Linux: /home/<username>/.openra/Content/ra2

The last ra2 folder should not exist prior to installation, you need to manually create the folder.
