Energy Meter configuration
Arska can read imported and exported energy information from HAN P1 enabled smart meters (installed by your grid company) or from a separately installed Shelly 3EM energy meter. Read also how to configure Arska energy meter settings
A direct connection to the energy meter via the adapter enables almost real-time monitoring of your electricity consumption. The meter sends measurement data at least once every 10 seconds. This requires that the meter installed by the network company has a HAN P1 port. In Finland, the installation of meters began in 2022, and in the coming years all meters will be replaced with new meters. If you have a meter with a HAN P1 port, you must request activation of the port from your grid company's customer service before you can use it.
The serial adapter package includes cables for a energy meter with a HAN P1 port (RJ12 connection) and ESP32 boards (Olimex) with an UEXT interface. If your ESP32 device is not equipped with UEXT interface you can connect your MCU to the adapter with 3 wires: GND, 3.3V and RXD (io gpio). You can buy an adapter from Robomaa.com Oy.
Han P1 to LilyGo adapter is plugged to the extension port of LilyGo T-relay ESP32-S3 6-way relay board.

Shelly 3EM is a separate energy monitor metering you exported and imported energy. To read grid data from Shelly 3EM energy meter it should be connected to the local wifi. More information you can find in Shelly's documentation. Leave installation of the meter to the main current to certified electrician professionals.
Check that Shelly gets a fixed IP address. Use Shelly configuration or get a fixed IP address from your wifi router.
