Getting Started
You will need a healthy number of resources to get started with BiomeDiversity. Perhaps not "day one of a new world", but certainly day two. Expect a couple stacks of Iron Ingots, a couple stacks of Orinocite Ingots, some gold, some redstone, a bit of glass, and a least one stick. If the latter is especially burdensome, you may be starting too early.
Craft:
- 12 Structure Support
- 12 Structure Tank
- 2 Sturdy Structure Support
- 1 Biometic Collector Core
These will be used to create the Collector multiblock.
Additionally, you will also need:
- 1 (or more) Biometic Receiver
- 1 (or more) Biometic Transmitter (one for each Receiver)
- 1 (or more) Plug (RF)
- 1 Linking Staff
The Collector is a 3x3 multiblock.
The 12 'corner' blocks are Structure Supports. The N, S, W, E faces are Structure Tanks. The up and down centre faces are Sturdy Structure Supports. The very centre block is the Biometic Collector Core. The structure will form when the final block is placed; there is no need to hit things with hammers. Or sticks.
Place a Receiver near the Collector. Upon placement, the four corner bars will glow red, and the Receiver will start searching. Once it has found a Collector, the bars will switch to green. This may take several seconds.
Place a Plug (RF) near the Collector. Upon placement, the four corner bars will glow red, and the Receiver will start searching. Once it has found a Collector, the bars will switch to green. This may take several seconds.
Place a Transmitter somewhere. Right-click (no crouching) the Transmitter with a Linking Staff. Right click a Receiver with the Linking Staff to pair the two.
Fill the Transmitter with a valid fluid, either via buckets or pipe the fluid into the bottom. The fluid will render in both the Transmitter and its paired Receiver.
The Collector will start consuming the fluid and creating energy, which can then be extracted from the Plug (RF).
