First check

  • I added a descriptive title to this issue.
  • I used the GitHub search to find a similar request and didn't find it.
  • I searched the Prefect documentation for this feature.

Prefect Version

2.x

Describe the current behavior

It can be difficult to determine what version of Prefect was used when executing a flow run or when starting a worker. Generally it involves looking at source code, logs, image tags, or manually inspecting a runtime environment. Though not necessarily difficult, this is often time consuming. Determining which version of Prefect was used with an agent or flow run is often the first step in debugging user issues.

Describe the proposed behavior

It would be extremely convenient if the OSS client version was collected and displayed in the UI. Specifically the OSS version used in the execution of each flow run AND the version used when starting a worker.
