OxyGEN is a collaborative hardware project started and led by Protofy.xyz, a Barcelona-based company that supports innovation within Corps and SME’s by developing hardware and software solutions.
Our mission is to offer a chance of survival to those who are denied access to an artificial ventilator due to shortage of supply.
To fulfill this mission, OxyGEN created an open hardware, low cost and low tech emergency respirator using a manual resuscitator for emergency situations contributing to save lives.
There are 2 different versions of OxyGEN. The maker version "OxyGEN-M" and the industrial version "OxyGEN-IP".

OxyGEN-M is designed for makers and can be built using common tools and no special machinery or materials are needed.

OxyGEN-IP is the version for industrial scale production. Foldforming metalworking machinery and engineering knowledge is needed to build OxyGEN-IP.
OxyGEN-IP has sucessfully passed clinical tests "in vitro" and "in vivo".
OxyGEN-IP has received authorization from the AEMPS to be used in clinical investigation in Hospital Clinic and Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol.

Nuestra misión es ofrecer una oportunidad de supervivencia a aquellos a los que se les ha denegado el acceso a un ventilador artificial debido a la escasez de suministro.
Para lograr esta misión, OxyGEN ha creado un respirador de emergencia de hardware libre, bajo coste y baja tecnología usando un resucitador manual para situaciones de emergencia, contribuyendo a salvar vidas.
Hay dos versiones diferentes de OxyGEN. La versión maker "OxyGEN-M" y la versión industrial "OxyGEN-IP".

OxyGEN-IP ha pasado satisfactoriamente pruebas de laboratorio "in vitro" e "in vivo".
OxyGEN-IP ha recibido autorización de la AEMPS para su uso en estudios clínicos en el Hospital Clinic y el Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol.
