Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In the README.md, it is currently stated that the appimage executable should be installed into /usr/bin. Typically this location is meant for executable commands that have no graphical element to them.
The Filesystem Hierarchy Standard would suggest such an item best placed in /opt or /usr/local if the file is meant to be accessed by anyone on the system. The Freedesktop Sepc suggests this if meant for just a single user:
User-specific executable files may be stored in $HOME/.local/bin. Distributions should ensure this directory shows up in the UNIX $PATH environment variable, at an appropriate place.
Will make a PR, but I'm not sure I get the github flow, so I'll try my best to reference this in the PR.
