Application

YouTube

Issue

The home feed should get hidden after hiding Home button.

Patch

After settings>revanced>layout>navigation buttons>hide Home button, although the home button gets hidden the home feed still is visible if hit back from any current tab. For. eg. If we are on Notifications tab, hitting back goes to home tab.

Another solution could be to able to set the default tab after opening so let's say to 'library' tab or 'subscriptions' tab. So that the app doesn't always open into home feed even if the home button is hidden.

Motivation

It will help in reducing YouTube distraction.

Sadly we won't get this even if it's been requested multiple times.
Team doesn't seem interested in this feature, insted their solution is to create a shortcut on homescreen to launch YouTube directly to another page.
I think it's definitely useful have this patch, it's been made by @inotia00 too it's just need to be ported, it's even more useful since the recent changes in YouTube's watch history setting and how it affects home feed.
Really hope team consider this.

Maybe instead of just "hide home feed after hiding home button" there should be "default tab after opening app"
