I've been fiddling with Analytics recently and must say I'm really impressed with how smooth it works and the integration with real-time data pickable from Nextcloud is very nice to work with. Thanks a lot for creating this!
What I haven't been able to find, or perhaps it is not possible, is the ability to list the total/sum of all entries in the table. For example on the built-in demo analytics downloads, how to determine the sum of all downloads across all versions?
My use case is using Nextcloud Tables and having for example a simple list of keys and numbers (some form of statistics). It would be great if Analytics could show the sum of all entries per current filter/drilldown configuration. In other words, a total/sum of the individual entries, filtered to exactly the same as shown in the listing below the graphs in the table view.
Thanks

hello @vermeeren
here is the challenge: totals/calculations are only possible during internally stored data at the moment.
e.g. if you use the demo finance report and remove the year drilldown, it will show the totals. its because the data is coming form the database and the selects can easily create the totals during the select.
for realtime data sources, data would need to be aggregated with an expensive transaction, depending on the amount of data. I will have a look if I find a usable way...
Hi,
I added the drilldown/aggregation feature to external datasources - same as with internal data.
the data is aggregated to whatever is being displayed. if columns are removed, the data is recalculated.
hope this helps...

Possibilities to show the total/sum of all entries
Report: drill down & aggregation also for external data sources

@Rello Perfect, thanks a lot! During experimentation I was actually confused why the drilldown wasn't showing properly and this explains why as well. Really appreciate the quick fix, getting totals this way is something I'm very happy with.
