Releases: RetroGamer02/GBAFreeDoom
E2 PreRelease
Episodes 1 and 2 should be playable to the end but expect lag currently in spots on E2.
Updated to FreeDoom's current git build for resources such as graphics and yet to be edited maps are now from the current git instead of FreeDoom v0.12.
Added higher quality sound effects, and every level has its own music now as it should.
Fixed Demo 2 crash.
Ep 4 enabled in menu but don't expect the maps to work yet.
Added Saturn Style Transparency effect.
E1M5 works + E1 filler levels release
With E1M5 finally simplified to the point of working and E4 levels filling in for the rest of the failing E1 levels. E1 in its entirety should hopefuly work.
Expect a likely spike in difficulty with the filler E4 levels these are place holders until I can simplify the rest.
Minor release
This release just brings the current release to the current commit so people can get a feel for where the project is at.
Still no fixed levels yet.
E1M1 and E1M2 have some optimization done to reduce lag.
Memory saving release 2
Started optimizing the game maps and added some more FreeDoom dialog.
Hoping to have E1M5 loading soon but only time will tell if its possible while keeping the map reasonably the same.
This is still very much a work in progress expect crashes.
Memory saving release
Include compressed FreeDoom wad file that also removes unneeded audio files since they are used elsewhere anyway.
Reduced sample rate of sound effects this both makes the sound more consistant all the same sample rate and should help reduce file size and maybe help the game run a bit better.
Still need to fix levels that wont load currently being the following.
Maps E1M5,7
Maps E2M5,9
Maps E3M4-5,9
Fixed sound effects not playing occasionally
Special thanks to KippyKip for his advice on the issue.
FreeDoom Audio Release
FreeDoom with its proper audio. Still not super stable expect some crashes if not careful.
First release
I'm using this project for practice don't expect excellence.
