SBOL Dictionary Maintainer 1.4.8

The SBOL Dictionary Maintainer simplifies the definition and linking of names and metadata across different parts of a complex synthetic biology project. In particular, this application assists in maintaining a dictionary that links three classes of names: "common names" used colloquially by human researchers, shared formal definitions stored in an instance of SynBioHub, and internal names used by specific tools or laboratories. SBOL Dictionary Maintainer supports this curation activity by linking together a Google Sheet, with columns for each class of names, with a SynBioHub metadata store.

New in this release:

• Pre-existing SynBioHub definitions can be imported to the dictionary by pasting their URL into the "name" field.

The main feature supported in this release is an “Alias Names” column created in each tab for the SD2 Program Dictionary spreadsheet. The new column displays alias for the “Common Name”. When adding a list of alias names in the spreadsheet, each alias name should be separated by semicons if there are more than one name provided (ex: a; b). The Alias Names will appear in SD2 SynBioHub within a Collection’s “Other Properties” as an “alternative” field.
