Build

make

Install

sudo make install

After installing you should see the current NASA APOD as an option in your wallpaper list (both captioned and un-captioned).

Reconfigure

May be needed to set up a new API key

sudo dpkg-reconfigure nasa-apod-background

Uninstall

sudo apt remove nasa-apod-background
