GDAL 1.11.x does not compile under Visual Studio 2015 out of the box. This fork includes changes to fix that, namely:
- Disabling of a conflicting preprocessor macro (
snprintf
). - Inclusion of
legacy_stdio_definitions.lib
for ODBC support.
TIFF functionality is GDAL 1.11.x seems to be subpar. For some input, the following simplified example would result in a crash (Access Violation) when linked against GDAL:
TIFF* img = TIFFOpen(inputPath, "r");
unsigned char *buffer = new unsigned char[TILESIZE*TILESIZE];
auto result = TIFFReadRawTile(img, tilenumber, buffer, TILESIZE*TILESIZE);
Linking the same code against LibTIFF would work as expected. Therefore, this fork of GDAL includes a separate copy of LibTIFF and uses that instead of the internal TIFF functionality.
