Case Study: Newsletter Subscription and Admin Panel

Overview: A company named "XYZ Corporation" wants to implement a newsletter subscription feature on their website. Additionally, they require an admin panel to manage the newsletter subscribers. They want to store subscriber information in a database, allow users to sign up for the newsletter, and provide the admin with the ability to view, search, and export subscriber data to an Excel file.

Project Details:

  1. Requirements:

    • Implement a newsletter subscription feature on the website.

  3. Implementation Details:

    • The admin can log in to the admin panel using a username and password. Authentication is managed using express-session.

    • Upon successful login, the admin is redirected to the admin panel where they can view all subscribers' email addresses, along with their creation dates.

    • The admin can search for subscribers by entering an email address in the search field. The system retrieves and displays subscribers that match the search query.

    • The admin has the option to export the subscriber data to an Excel file. Clicking the "Export to Excel" button triggers the generation of an Excel file using the ExcelJS library. The file is then downloaded by the admin.
