Programming ATTiny3216

Hello all,
I got to the point where I cannot program the attiny3216 via the 'jtag2updi', the funny thing is that the boot loader can be uploaded, while the e.g. Arduino sketch not. I am following the general instructions (https://wolles-elektronikkiste.de/en/using-megatinycore#arduino_as_updi_programmer) ...
I have tried the serial way too,
it seems that I am already having here problems with flashing the boo loader , it starts ok, but at the end has problems with finding the file, indeed, this occurred only after I have uploaded the megaTinyCore to latest 2.6.5 version.
I am wondering why is it not posible to use the compilation without the "optiboot", for example, if the board:3226/3216... is selected and chip : 3216... this error is seen:

And the bootloader flashing problems:

I am on Mac and Arduino IDE 1.8.13, the avrduded was "upgraded".

Is there a simple and short guideline how to tackle this problem?

Any help is much appreciated, did a lot of soldering to get this tiny on bread board :)

OK; I have "downgraded" the board version to megTinyCore 2.6.4 and it works, it uploads the code , sketch on the tiny, via no "optibookt".
