Welcome to the Bridge Block page!

Description:

The bridge block is a block added by KalStuff that uses the power of crushed ender to teleport blocks.

Mechanics:

The bridge block can be placed facing any direction in a manner similar to Vanilla pistons. An ender pearl colored dot marks which face is the front.

When right clicked with an allowed block, the bridge block will search for the nearest block in the direction it is facing that is either air or another bridge block, starting at the block directly in front of it. When it finds an air block, it will take the block the player was holding and place it at that location. The bridge block cannot look any farther than 16 blocks in front of it.

If the bridge block finds another bridge block, however, it will "chain" that bridge and activate it with the item the player is holding. This means the line of blocks will be redirected to wherever the second bridge block is facing. This can happen an infinite amount of times meaning that, with enough bridge blocks, a player can place blocks from thousands of blocks away. Attempting to create a circle of bridge blocks, however, will achieve absolutely nothing.

Bridge blocks can place other bridge blocks, and will in fact orient them as if the player had placed them. Using this feature, a player can effectively build a floating mansion without leaving solid ground or even the vicinity of the first bridge block.

Allowed Blocks:

Bridge blocks will only accept "natural" items and use the same list as endermen for what blocks are allowed. By default, however, bridge blocks will not accept TNT (this can be changed in the configuration file). Bridge blocks can also place other bridge blocks.
