Overview
The Sea Necklace is the main item added by Mermod. Players wearing a Sea Necklace will become a merperson while swimming in water.
If you have Trinkets installed, the Sea Necklace can be worn in a special necklace slot. Otherwise, it can be worn by placing it in your chestplate slot.
The Sea Necklace grants several effects while equipped, such as increased swim speed, night vision, and water breathing. If you want to know how to disable these effects, please refer to the Configuration page.
The Sea Necklace can be combined with any assortment of dyes in the crafting grid to change its color. The color of the tail granted by the Sea Necklace corresponds with the color of its crystal. For example, in the image below, adding red and blue dyes to the necklace results in a purple tail.
The Sea Necklace can be customized further using special modifiers. Modifiers can change the appearance of your tail and even add new features to it. They can be added to a necklace in the same way dyes are, and removed by crouching and right clicking with the necklace. The currently available modifiers include:
- Mermaid Bra (Adds a bra to your torso)
- Moon Rock (Changes your tail to resemble H2O: Just Add Water)
- Ursula's Shell (Changes your tail to resemble The Little Mermaid)
- Tail Gradient (Makes the color of your tail fade to a second color)
- Glowing Pearl (Makes your tail glow as if it were enchanted)
