# 4. Install TheHive

Two binary packages are available. The first one only contains a standalone version of TheHive. A second binary packages is available and also contains [Cortex](https://github.com/CERT-BDF/Cortex) the analysis engine used by TheHive to run analyzers.
Binary package can be downloaded at [thehive-latest.zip](https://dl.bintray.com/cert-bdf/thehive/thehive-latest.zip)

* [TheHive standalone package](https://dl.bintray.com/cert-bdf/thehive/thehive-latest.zip)
* [TheHive, Cortex and all available analyzers](https://dl.bintray.com/cert-bdf/thehive/thehive-cortex-latest.zip)

TheHive installation and configuration is identical for both packages. If you choose the latter, after installing and configuring TheHive, you will have to:
* Configure Cortex. Jump to [Cortex configuration documentation](https://github.com/CERT-BDF/Cortex/wiki/Installation-guide#42-configuration) in Cortex wiki
* Jump back to TheHive configuration and connect it to your Cortex instance.
* Start TheHive and import the [report templates](https://github.com/CERT-BDF/TheHive/wiki/Administrator's-guide#3-report-template-management) corresponding to the analyzers.

_Note_: in the rest of this guide we'll use TheHive standalone binary package. Do not forget to adapt your command if you prefer installing the package with Cortex.
After configuring TheHive, if you use Cortex, don't forget to install [report templates](https://github.com/CERT-BDF/TheHive/wiki/Administrator's-guide#3-report-template-management).
