Because we keep running into it in child theme customization, let's just make everything have square corners.

the layout i'd like to lose eventually is the three column one, but the newspaper-like thing will live as long as newspaper people do, whether we like it or not.

Closing because:

  • the twitter widget's border-radiuses are all within the iframe
  • the select boxes are terrible to modify.

Switch to LESS (reference) imports for mixins and variables on homepages

For single.less, as part of this, move variables to less/inc/variables.less:
- variable `@grey` (local to single.less) is replaced by the theme color variable `@grayDark`; this changes the color from #777 to the darker #484848
- variable `@fog` is replaced by the theme color variable `@grayLighter`; this changes no colors
- variable `@sky` moves to less/inc/variables.less

As a result of switching to `(reference)` for the imports, top-stories.css (unminified) loses several dozen lines of comment-only CSS.
