Need help |
I have created a draft for the article here: https://wordpress.org/documentation/wp-admin/post.php?post=16356477&action=edit Besides copying the content I aded a very short introduction, added an image for the keyboard input option, and updated alt texts. |
Did some minor adjustments in the formatting and wording, ready for 2nd review |
Second review of the new page is complete and it has been published. I'm working through the other block pages to link back to it now. |
As discussed at Contributor session with @femkreations and @jennimckinnon the new feature here: #44086 doesn't quite fall into the 'more rich text editing options' or the 'more options' page but it's probably not significant enough for its own page so we're going to add something to both about it. Suggested content for review: Clear Unknown FormattingIn certain situations, you may come across an option in the block toolbar to Clear unknown formatting. This option will only appear if WordPress detects unrecognized formatting in a block. Choosing the Clear unknown formatting option will remove any unrecognized code that is affecting your content. That said, It is not necessary to clear the unknown formatting in order to apply other rich text editing. For example, the Clear unknown formatting option might appear when you have copied and pasted content from a document editor such as Google Docs or Microsoft Word, or if you have used the Edit as HTML option in the More options menu. This is for replacing the 'more rich text options' content on individual block pages. More rich text optionsThe drop-down menu to the left of the More options menu contains a range of additional rich text editing options such as highlighting, inline code, strikethrough, and more. |
@carolinan @Leonardus-Nugraha are you able to give the wording above (#715 (comment)) a quick glance over and let me know if you think it is good to update? The 'Clear Unknown Formatting' section will be added to the main 'More Rich Text Editing Options' page, and the 'More Rich Text Options' section is for updating the individual block pages (e.g. paragraph). |
@jomarieminney I did a small bit of editing there. It should be good now |
