It's just released! I really want to play 1.5 mobile but I can't play it cause i only play smapi aka stardew mods

1.5.6 on Android still uses .NET Framework 4.5, which will make mod compatibility tricky since the PC version uses .NET 5. I'm not sure how much work will be involved in rewriting .NET 5 mod DLLs to load in .NET Framework. If we can get that working, it would benefit PC players on the compatibility branch too though.

Seems that early info was incorrect. I decompiled the game myself, and it uses Xamarin.Android 12.0 (which seems to include .NET 5).

Yes,I'll handle this. By redirect save folder to original directory.
But I need make sure mod framework patch logic work correctly. SDV mobile 1.5 has change its assemblies format AGAIN. There are lots of work to do.
The release may needs several weeks to prepare.I'll try my best to make it avaliable before March 2023.

@GonzaUwU It'll be done as soon as possible, but updating for Stardew Valley 1.5 is complex and we didn't have early access to get it ready ahead of time.

Hi! I was wondering, do you think is it possible to go back to the old way by replacing .xnb files in the content file, waiting for your update to come out? I just tried but i don't see any "content" folder. And i can't extract obb too. Maybe it's due to the rebuilding ? I just want to replace sprites and portraits in my case

Sure, but it's only working with .XNB mods i think, like portraits/sprites replacer. A lot of mods are .dll, and need SMAPI. Here's what i did:
With MT manager i extracted the apk, so i got an "apks" file, countaining both parts. Open it and extract both. The split_content.apk is the one you're looking for. Open it and replace whatever you want in the content folder. Before replacing your modified apk into the "apks", you need to re-sign it and ALSO the base.apk in order for them to have the same certificate. You can do it in MT manager. After that, you can install your .apks and that's all

Hi there, is it possible to add the aim assist or make a mod for it? because the new update still doesn't have it. I guess ConcernedApe thought that most mobile players don't need it. But, I really want it since I play by controller.

@meikameikato @Wonder871 SMAPI will be updated as soon as possible, but this update is particularly complex and we didn't have early access to prepare ahead of time. ZaneYork tentatively estimated March 2023, but there's no guarantee.

@Eizen-chan You can suggest new mods on the mod ideas repo.

Am I the only one who has noticed the list of compatible mods is outdated? The list was probably made before mobile and smapi (android) were updated to 1.5 (https://android.stardew.rocks/)

No, but some of the mods aren't compatible with other mods especially automate, and spacecore. That list was made after the SDV 1.5 and latest version of smapi. If you want modding help you can ask in stardewvalley discord server, people can really help you out in there.

I've had a problem where if I try to sleep on day 4, the game softlocks and doesn't save. I've tried it with no mods and it still doesn't save. I tried the base game without SMAPI and that saves normally. So it's SMAPI itself that is causing the problem. Any solutions?

Anyone have error length=xxx index=xxx when installing v1.5.6.52 you can try manualy signed apk using mtmanager. Open mtmanager > SMAPI Installer > you Will find file named base.apk here, hold then choose "sign file" select v1+v2+v3 scheme. Tested by me. Try it

Hello my dears. I am asking for help and thank you in advance. I have a problem with smapi android. I have Android 13. I have the latest smapi version 3.18.3.3 and 1.5.6.39 Stardew Valley. I have the files in the com.zane.stardewvalley folder. First, I installed the original Stardew, opened it to the title screen and closed it, then installed smapi and allowed the migration. Then I deleted the installer and the StardewValley folder and added my game save to the com.zane.stardewvalley/Saves folder. I don't know why when I open smapi and select my save, it takes a while to load and then returns to the title screen. In smapi's diary he writes about looping. Even if I don't add any mods, there are VirtualKeyboard and ConsoleComands in the com.zane.stardewvalley/Mods folder, it's the same. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm asking for help. Hello I just figured out how to install everything I need but when I go to launch the App it doesn't work it just turns off right away I have the latest version of the app my phone is a Motorola G Stylus 5g 2023 and I run on Android version 13, I've also tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it and I've even restarted my phone please help

Unfortunately SMAPI isn't currently updated for the lastest 1.5 update and as there is no way to down grade the base app, you can't use SMAPI and have to play vanilla stardew valley.

If you really want to use mods on Android you can just download Stardew valley 1.5.6.39 ( you have to delete the latest version) on the internet and install the 1.5.6 version of the mods you want. I use ZArchiver to access the Android data folder.
