Clone the repository. Open a terminal and run the command:
git clone https://github.com/adamw1221/CS495-Lab-Inventory-Group-F.git
-
Navigate into the project folder: CD CS495-Lab-Inventory-Group-F
-
Run the command: npm init -y to initialize the folder with npm. You should now have a package json
-
A) In your package json, modify your start to match this:
"start": "node js\server_side\server.js"
Now you can run the command npm start to start our server and connect to our database.
B) Or navigate to folder js, then into server_side:
CD js\server_side and run node server.js
-
Copy the full path of an html page (in the html folder) e.g.,
C:\user\CS495-Lab-Inventory-Group-F\html\basicWebsite.html
-
Paste the path into your web browser.
-
The web pages should now be visible and you should be able to add, read, update, and remove from the database.
Our job is to build a web application to help the Robotics Lab manage inventory
The web app will allow users to add, update, remove, and read lab equipment. It will also allow users to check out this equipment and notify users when it is due back.
