Hi @gdams ,

I would like to know which commit a specific Temurin OpenJDK build was based on: jdk-17.0.4+8

I see there is a tag like this in the OpenJDK 17 repository, followed by a commit which merges into the main branch. Is the build done on the commit with the tag, or is the build done after the merge to the main branch?

The commit with the tag is: openjdk/jdk17u@c53d022

Also, is there some way to check this information myself in future?

I would like to know which commit a specific Temurin OpenJDK build was based on: jdk-17.0.4+8

I see the release file has this information, somehow I missed the repository URL from which the build was made (I did check the commit id listed in the file, but didn't find it in the https://github.com/openjdk/jdk17u repository). Sorry for the noise.
