1. You can now use a custom sound effect for placing a stone (via "settings" -> "set board appearance"). For that you need a sound file in ogg format. If your sound effect is in a different format, you can easily convert it (there a lots of online converters from any sound format into ogg).

2. You can now choose the app's language independent of the device language (bottom field in "settings")
