Closes the 1140 issue

  • Add GOV.UK Mainstream Guide template to the Prototype Kit
  • Update the Tutorials and templates page to add a link to the GOV.UK Mainstream Guide template, and a link to the 'Content design: planning, writing and managing content' manual
  • Update Sass to support: contents list, pagination

I think this is a good suggestion. I have helped a handful of people less confident with HTML and using template languages such as Nunjucks to do just this. The users I helped either wanted to prototype directly or visualise content written elsewhere.

A documented jumping off point for this common page type would have saved them and I time and effort.

Good idea, we often prototype the start page for our services so this would help. As @paulmsmith mentioned it's useful for those who are less confident in coding.

I support this, we often need mainstream guide pages to build. Once you've got one it is easy to replicate, but when you start out, is very handy to have a template!

Can we discuss a better approach for providing optional code please?

I think the commented code is a mistake and can be removed

I'd like to explore what this would look like as an extension (one that may be included by default), I'll put together a code example of this now so we can discuss the pros and cons.

happy to investigate, but I think it would make sense for all the gov.uk templates to be an extension rather than just one, maybe we can investigate moving all of them separately to this PR?

you prototype realistic journeys connecting your service with GOV.UK content.
