I've decided to set up a GitHub Wiki for this project, to collect discussions and conversations that would otherwise be harder to discover.
For example, discussions that come up on the issue tracker can contain very good questions and insightful remarks. When the issue is then closed, the conversations become less accessible. So I like the idea of collecting links to useful issues and/or comments here.
Questions about the spec and the project may be made in the Discussions tab. Other conversations are also welcome!

- There is a little bit of text about that in the Parsing section, under the subtitle "A note about repeated slashes".
- There's also an old comment about it in whatwg/url#531 (which however isn't entirely up to date with how things are handled now).
