I'm Amanda Bradford, and I'm a Research Ecologist at the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center of NOAA Fisheries.
- π¬ I work in the Cetacean Research Program of the Protected Species Division
- π³οΈ I focus on cetacean population assessment, both in the office and out at sea
- π» My research interests are population dynamics and demography, line-transect abundance estimation, mark-recapture parameter estimation, and health and injury assessment
- π I received my B.S. in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston and my M.S. and Ph.D. in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from the University of Washington
- π I'm a proponent of open science and accessibility and am a member of the NMFS Open Science community
- πββοΈ I'm a founding member and co-organizer of the Women in Marine Mammal Science (WIMMS) Initiative
