I have some translation issues and some improve proposals

• Installer multilanguage

Program has a multilanguage GUI
Could be better to have also a multilanguage installer

• At first startup detect O.S language and set UI language

At first startup program detect O.S language and set UI language (if program language is available - otherwise english)

• Default left panel width not enough (for not englisg language)

Please increase defualt left panel width

• Untranslated strings

"Compressed"/"Programs"/"Videos"/"Music"/"Pictures"/"Documents" strings untranslated

Please add these strings to language file.

it is just a few next's. there is no prompt or complex option.

I agree. it should be improved

Default left panel width not enough (for not englisg language)

I set default sizes based on English but you can change its size (by dragging the line horizontally) and it will be saved.

"Compressed"/"Programs"/"Videos"/"Music"/"Pictures"/"Documents" strings untranslated

They are hard-coded strings for default categories. you can rename/edit/remove or add other categories
because these strings are editable I didn't translate them

Please add these strings to language file.

I use the crowdin for translate the project. you can contribute it and improve the translations.

  Installer script it's very easy tyo switch then why not?
  Where is locate the installed script?
  I can help you yo make it multilanguage?

  Why don't set width few larger then for english?
  It's ok for english and also for other language

• categopries name untranslated
  I beleive that teh scope for most the suer is to find as much as possible translated.
  Then it's quite normal to condier that categories name could be automaticallyt localzied.

Installer script it's very easy to switch then why not?

because I want this script to as compact/short as much as possible. if I want to provide localization for it I have to setup multiple translation files for it. which adds unnecessary complexity to the installation script.
If I add extra option which requires user interactions then I will also add translation for the installer too.

Why don't set width few larger then for english?

You are right I check and noticed most languages have this problem. I will increase it a little bit by default

I believe that as translator my expectation is that as mucha s possible the interface has all strings translated (ex. categories) and the user shouldn't change nothing for a better use (left panel width) and the instalelr is clear (use native language),

In this direction goes my sugegstions

• At first run program detect OS language and set UI language (if language is avaiulble).
• Left panel width (think also not only english users)
• categories translated (not as english)
• Installer multilanguage

To make installer multilanguage require less more space availble,.
You can chose to create setup that directly setup language to match OS language or select by default to match OS language and then user just confirm or change.
To have a installer in local lnguage move the user in a confort zone where read a langauge that he knows.

I agree with 2 of 4 suggestions that you provided.
I fixed them ( #386 #385 ) that's why I closed this issue

categories translated (not as english)

If they were fixed string values, I would agree with you. However, these categories function more like folders. When you change the operating system's language, you typically wouldn't expect your folder names to change, right? I don't mean that its impossible to translate them but it makes extra confusion instead of simplicity.

  If you setup categoris as strings and you can use this to setup in Ui when you change UI langauge change also categories name
  In Windows when you change OS language change link names ex. from "Documents" (EN) to "Documenti" (IT) but real folder name remain untouched (Documents)."
  Link name change by OS language but real path remian unchanged.

• Multilanguage installer
  As I explain I can help to improve that if you provide the info about installer script file name.
