add a markdown file to the _posts folder above with the name:

<YYYY>-<MM>-<DD>-<SHORT_TITLE>.md.

The contents of the file should be:

Adding a publication

For preprints, append _data/preprints.yml with your paper in the correct format.

For conference proceedings append _data/publications/.yml
