The new AppSwitcher would not be built without some changes at SDHC libraries. I linked the waiting MSDK pull request to the title. The new AppSwitcher enables the bootloader to load from external flash if there is no SD Card inserted. Also, it has a built-in mass storage device mode. How to use the new AppSwitcher was explained in the updated README.md.
