Welcome to the sprint-retro-board wiki!

The Sprint Retro Board is designed based on the perspective of the two personas in an Agile Scrum Framework:

  • Scrum Master
  • Scrum Team members

As a Scrum Master, I want a Sprint Retrospective Tool through which I can conduct Sprint Retrospective of the previous sprint and generate a report about the Retrospective which I can share in some document management portal of my organization.

As a Scrum Team member, I want to join a Sprint Retrospective Tool that the Scrum master has created which is shared by him in the form of Link/ID and where I can share my views and points of concerns and rate other such points and views anonymously.

Steps from Scrum Master Perspective [Assuming the Retrospective tool is hosted or started locally in some machine]:

  1. Open the URL in some browser
  2. Select the Create Retro Board Option
  3. Sign in with the general details
  4. Add Details like Team Name, Sprint Number/Name, Retro Board Type and Time Bound Switch to setup a retro board
  5. Create the board with the details
  6. Share the link or Retro Board ID to other Scrum Team members
  7. Wait till the other Scrum Team members join the board
  8. Start the Retro
  9. Let others and yourself write points of concerns and views on the various columns of the Retro Board based on the Board Type Selected
  10. End Retro Timing explicitly or wait till the timer stops everyone from adding more points
  11. Aggregate and merge/combine the common points in a single point if needed
  12. Let everyone vote out of the total votes allocated to them to the points
  13. Move to next phase of creating a list of action items out of all the points which they consider should be raised as an action item
  14. Generate an image or a PDF document of the whole Retrospective meeting
  15. Post the image/PDF in the respective documentation portal of the organization
  16. Close the browser tab

Steps from Scrum Team Member Perspective [Assuming the Retrospective tool is hosted or started locally in some machine]:

  1. Open the URL in some browser
  2. Select the option to Join an existing Retro based on the Retro ID recieved
  3. Sign in with the general details
  4. Start adding points in the Retro Board based on the experience of previous respective sprints after the timer starts
  5. Help the Scrum master to merge common points [only Scrum master can merge them]
  6. Vote the points out of the total votes he is allocated which the Scrum Team member considers as more relevant or important or prioritized
  7. Help the Scrum Master in creating a list of action items out of all the points which they consider should be raised as an action item [only Scrum master can create them]
  8. Close the browser tab
