Feature: Filter Box using TextInput

I was thinking about update the FilterBox component to allow user to enter the term using a TextInput component instead of React Select. My intention is to enable the FilterBox to work with long lists without having to fetch everything and render on DOM.

Couldn't find such request on the issue list so I created this one to track the discussion and people interested on it.

Please let me know if you have any objection to this feature otherwise I will go ahead and start implementing on a fork =)
